I was starting to wonder if I would get beyond a stand and a flat body for this doll before Christmas.  I had stuffed the body a week or so ago, and there it stood.  Now he has arms–one isn’t sewn on yet, but, hey!

He has no head yet, that’s the stump of his neck you see up there.  If I can get the rest of my supplies together (the beard and hair are really a puzzle), perhaps he’ll be done by Christmas.
