Aldrich 4-goreBack

In the end I did what my Daddy would have termed “ironed the fool out of it.”  All over the inside and all over the outside…

with steam and without.

Now my naked eye sees no iron marks at all.

I didn’t think I would like the short A-line shape of the skirt, but I do.  I tucked a black lining inside, which makes the skirt feel nice and eliminates the need for a slip.  I find when I line a short skirt like this, however, that I feel cold.  That cold feeling usually leads to my donning a pair of my Shortie Leggings underneath, which gets me wearing something that usually only takes up space in my dresser drawer.

As for the next two garments from this suiting, I’m proceeding with the “iron the fool out of it” strategy.  I am nearly done with the jumper, but may trash the vest.

I’ve had enough of this fabric.

  1. Ooooh, I like your skirt! I get the same chilly feeling with a lined wool skirt. Odd, because they are hard to wear without a lining. Would a slip feel chilly too, out of curiousity?

I like this skirt! I am seeing more Aline styles. The skirt really fits you well.
